Jimerson Asencio, Innovation Manager at Ficohsa Group, participated last July in the III Ibero-America Summit of Innovation hosted by the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB).

Jimerson was invited to talk about Tech4DevHN, Ficohsa’s exciting start-up incubator project that, when completed, will create a network for Honduran entrepreneurs investing in health and IT technology, while training them in sustainable business best practices.  The initiative is being developed in partnership IDB Lab, UNITEC university, and the Televicentro Foundation.

Summa Internacional Magazine recognized Camilo Atala Faraj, Ficohsa’s founder and President, as one of the 50 most respected executives and entrepreneurs throughout Central America and the Dominican Republic for his ethics and professionalism.

In its August 2022 edition, the prestigious magazine paid tribute to the career and outstanding achievements of Mr. Atala, who is also the Director of the Ficohsa Foundation for Early Childhood Education.  Banco Ficohsa was also recognized as one of three Honduran companies with the best corporate reputations.

In August, Ficohsa was honored to host United States Ambassador to Honduras, Laura Farnsworth Dogu, and members of her team at our offices in Tegucigalpa.  Ambassador Dogu participated in a wide-ranging discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing Honduras and Central America, and the many ways that Ficohsa’ environmental and social programs can be of support.
